- Spain, with 4 straight goals including 2 in overtime, came from behind to defeat Brazil 4-2.
- An own goal in the 89th minute allowed the USA to force their game with Uruguay into overtime. The USA scored in OT to edge Uruguay 2-1.
- The Czech Republic and Japan were tied 2-2 after overtime and the Czechs won on penalty kicks 4-3.
- Austria edged Gambia 2-1 with the winning goal scored in the 82nd minute.
